New collection
I have been working on some new items recently. I’ve enjoyed looking back through jewellery and pottery design from Ancient Greece and Egypt and the Middle East. It’s amazing how some symbols have spread throughout many different cultures and through the centuries, and which are still recognisable and relatable in our society now. The Victorians were masters of this, their fascination with antiquities and secret language between close relationships with use of symbols has influenced much of what we find today in patterns and designs in fashion.
If you click on each item in the online shop, I have tried to give a brief summary of each representation in my jewellery. Jewellery is such a precious and expensive item that carries great meaning and emotion, so it’s nice to know a little of the history as well I think.
For my Botanical range, I have also been intrigued with the traditions and folklore around plants and their symbol of the seasons. In all cultures around the world, the seasons were as important and life itself, food, warmth, light…everything that humans need to survive.
All the new items are available in either solid 9ct gold or sterlings silver.
